Weight Loss and Metabolic Health: Your Whole Health  Assessment

Weight is complex

Weight is affected by many complex factors and impacts many areas of our life and health.

These can include our genetics (family history), our stress levels, how supported or connected we feel to others, our sleep quality, medications (including contraceptives) that we are prescribed, for women, whether we are pre, peri- or post-menopausal, what and when we eat and how active we are.

The risks and benefits of new weight loss drugs

Rapid weight loss with medications such as appetite suppressant Ozempic and Mounjaro alone is achievable but can result in significant side effects, the need for careful supervision (particularly of medications for other conditions) and may be unsustainable when medications are stopped. You may be able to reduce these risks by getting the right support from the start.
